I was going to pull it out and try to diagnose the problem, assuming it was the springs. Just rub it along the 2 cables that look like a small piece of rope and that connect to the big door springs that run along both sides of the dishwasher. After several attempts to oil the springs this little trick has solved what was a very irritating noice everytime we opened the dishwasher. Make sure to "lube" both sides of the cord with the soap and also the full motion of the door so that any/all segments of cord which rube on the 2 rollers are lubed. I cut a finger-sized piece of soap off a normal bar of soap and was able to wedge it between the cord and roller for better lubing. Door is now silent and my whole family is happy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1019013993613332572.post-90941523396737517242011-10-16T11:20:29.144-07:002011-10-16T11:20:29.144-07:00Unscrew the two screws at the bottom plate under t...Unscrew the two screws at the bottom plate under the door, exposing the pump, electrical connections (you should unplug it from the outlet under the sink to be safe), and door springs. Notice on the left and right hand side there is a cord connected to springs that goes back and forth as the door opens/closes. Notice near the front of the machine, under the door, are the two pulleys that route the cord 90 degrees up to the door linkage. Place a small piece of soap (hotel soap is perfect) against the cord/string and do it right where it enters the pulley. Then open/close the door and the string will move under the soap, lubricating both. Do this to the cord/string on both sides of the pulley, making sure to get the side of the cord/string that contacts the pulley (lube the backside of the cord going up, and lube the top of the cord going toward the back of the machine to attch at the spring).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1019013993613332572.post-78176925621038101832011-09-25T21:20:38.672-07:002011-09-25T21:20:38.672-07:00how do you get to the parts to lube them?how do you get to the parts to lube them?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1019013993613332572.post-25213235388345723372011-03-10T20:29:27.255-08:002011-03-10T20:29:27.255-08:00The soap fix is genius!
